Our network of over 219 private landlords in Santa Barbara County is the backbone of our program. Their patience and dedication to our program and our clients are highly valued and their feedback helps drive our strategy for the future. In return, we provide our landlords with an additional financial safety net called our Risk Reduction Fund.

This fund minimizes the risk to the landlord by paying for damages, loss of rent and court/mediation costs up to $3,000 above the tenant’s security deposit.

PHS Provides:

  • Tenants that are connected to supportive services
  • 24-hour turnaround landlord hotline for help with questions
  • Security deposit assistance
  • Financial “safety net” for landlords of up to $3,000
  • Landlord Incentives for eligible households:
    • $2,500 for 1st placement
    • $2,000 for each subsequent placement
